The Defence of Darwin Experience is the story of Darwins role in WWII and is dedicated to the period 1932 to 1945 - a very important time in the history of the Northern Territory. The Defence of Darwin Experience facility located at East Point is an interactive exhibition space that includes the immersive Bombing of Darwin Gallery, iconic objects from that time, firsthand accounts and multimedia presentations.

The Defence of Darwin Experience App is a self-drive gateway to nine World War II heritage sites around Darwin.

Specific sites such as airfields, explosives stores and watch towers are featured, as are scenic locations along the Darwin foreshore which highlight a number of historic places significant to the events of World War II.
